Breast Augmentation
Houston, Texas based plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Ciaravino has performed breast augmentation procedures on women from all over the world. Some of his patients have appeared in the pages of Maxim, FHM, Playboy, and other beauty and fitness magazines. Every year Dr. Ciaravino performs hundreds of breast augmentation procedures.
Dr. Ciaravino uses a unique surgical technique to perform breast augmentation with specially designed instruments. The surgery itself is precise and gentle. Incisions are extremely small and hidden and there is little bruising during recovery, and the recovery period itself is very fast.
Breast Augmentation Procedure
During the breast augmentation procedure, patients are placed under either general anesthesia or IV sedation. Small incisions are made either at the areola or the breast crease. Incisions made for saline breast implants are less than one inch long. This is half the size of incisions made by other plastic surgeons. However, silicone implants require a longer incision.
Dr. Ciaravino creates a pocket for the breast implant either behind the breast tissue (sub-glandular) or behind the pectoral muscle (sub-pectoral). Saline implants are filled to the correct size once the implant is placed in the pocket. Silicone implants are prefilled in the factory they come from and do not require inflation. The breast size, shape, and symmetry are evaluated and the incisions closed with dissolvable sutures. Gauze dressing and a surgical bra are then applied.
The total time for the breast augmentation procedure is less than one hour.
Dr. Ciaravino's patients are very happy with the results of their breast augmentation. If you are interested in the breast augmentation procedure, please contact Houston, Texas breast augmentation surgeon Dr. Ciaravino today.
