One of the most exciting developments in the battle against aging, BOTOX® effectively improves forehead creases, frown lines (between the eyes), and lines around the eyes. While anesthesia is not required, Dr. Ciaravino uses a technique designed to maximize patient comfort. Using a tiny needle, a small amount of BOTOX® is injected into the muscle under the skin. Over the next few days the muscle weakens, the overlying skin relaxes, and the wrinkle gradually softens. In many cases, it virtually disappears!
Dr. Ciaravino also uses BOTOX® to raise the outer eyebrows, creating the beautiful shape often seen on models. Many young patients in their 20's and 30's are undergoing BOTOX® treatments for this desired effect.
